Description
This Fontana album was purchased new from Middleton`s Records, W`ton in 1960/61.
The disc is excellent condition and plays perfectly, without jumps and no more than seven or eight mainly very faint clicks throughout (mostly on side 1). The run offs are stamped AA681550 ^ 1L ^ 2 // 420 VVV and AA681550 ^ 2L = 2 // 420 VVV , respectively.
Side 1; Original music for the film "L`Ascenseur pour L`Echafaud", composed by Miles Davis. Personnel, Miles Davis trumpet, Barney Wilen tenor, Rene Urtreger piano, Pierre Michelot bass, Kenny Clarke drums. Recorded: Paris, 4 Dec.1957
Side 2; On Green Dolphin Street, Fran-Dance, Stella By Starlight. Personnel: Miles Davis trumpet, Cannonball Adderley alto, John Coltrane tenor, Bill Evans piano, Paul Chambers bass, Jimmy Cobb drums. Recorded: NY City, 26 May 1958
The partially laminated outer sleeve is sound, without splits, tears or creases. Clear tape to the edges of the slot has resulted in staining, more noticeable on the back. A few finger marks also on the back.
