Miles Davis - Live At The Philharmonic (Vinyl). First issue (1973) Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class.
After I got my ears around On The Corner, this was my next call. A different beast. The mix is a bit trebly for my taste. There are some superb moments though. Like a half tempo swampier rendition of Ife, during which you can hear appreciative chatter when the groove is locking nicely. I know Miles was trying to recruit a youthful crowd, but I’m not sure how the Stockhausen influences translate onto the dancefloor! It grew on me in the end. I’m selling because I have a duplicate. I snapped up another first edition copy because the first was so hard to find. I can no longer justify this kind of hoarding to my significant other.
