Miles Davis MILES IN THE SKY Mobile Fidelity 2lp 45RPM edition, and this copy is sealed and MINT. LOW #202!! Featuring one of Miles' most famous lineups, ALL of them hall of famers: Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Ron Carter, Tony Williams, and the greatest living jazz guitarist, George Benson, on one track. Whew. A wonderful lp that is much more about mood, groove and texture...and not quite the full tilt fusion of Bitches Brew.

ABOUT 45 RPM PRESSINGS While some folks don't like the 45 RPM format (yes, you do have to get up and change sides more often), it's not hype: with more vinyl real estate for your stylus to operate within, volume levels are maintained consistently across all tracks (with 33 1/3, as you get closer to the inner groove you will lose volume because the grooves get smaller), and there's LOTS more room for the bass frequencies. A mastering engineer has to juggle all these factors, usually leading to certain compromises, when pressing at 33 1/3. The common wisdom in the audiophile community is that, when done well, 45 rpm pressings are as close as you'll get to the master tape.
