Description
My Funny Valentine, Miles Davis in Concert, CBS Stereo SBPG 62510
This 1 owner UK original presents another amazing opportunity for a Miles fan/collector. Bought new by my father circa 1965 it remained stored and unplayed since 1983 and the house move that yr. Net result is this could be one of, if not the best examples of this record left in existence.
The vinyl surface has nothing more than a few hairlines present and even then only under maglite and remains very clean and glossy though perhaps a proper clean would get it truly looking near brand new. The labels are unworn and clean but for a single faint spindle mark. The record appears unwarped turning on a platter. I cannot playgrade as the vintage Linn is out of order and requires recommissioning if not selling, however the record is in confidence inspiring condition looking better than many a new press.
The jacket is laminate front to card rear type. It has a couple of marks and minor creases with some ringwear and uneveness as to all be expected at 55yrs of age but on the whole it defies expectations of such an old LP. Theres no seem or spine splits, the spine is relatively uncrushed and it feels fit and strong to go many many more well looked after yrs. The inner sleeve is paper original with poly liner and is the only true shower of this LPs age with some creasing and discolouring as is usual.
Overall another amazing find from the crates and to be bought with confidence. It is priced very fairly vs Discogs history and in line with the condition and history. It will of course be packed safely and shipped asap.
Thanks for looking!
