Description

Columbia CL-949 (mono), “Round About Midnight” with Miles Davis, trumpet; John Coltrane, tenor sax; Red Garland, piano; Paul Chambers, bass; Philly Joe Jones, drums. Original six-eye vinyl plays at VG++ with very little background sound; there is a pressing bubble that causes a few thumps on “All of You”. Jacket has strong seams all around with very little wear. There is a corner bump at lower right which causes a slight bend extending 1 ½” by 2” that is easily ignored and a smaller corner bum at upper left. Jacket back is very clean with no writing and only a factory “C” stamp. Tracks are “Round Midnight”, “Ah-Leu-Cha”, “All of You”, “Bye Bye Blackbird”, “Tadd’s Delight”, and “Dear Old Stockholm”. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $14.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $11.75 extra. (Two years ago, a package to the Netherlands was lost in shipment, resulting in disappointment on both sides.) Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
