Description

Blue Note BLP 1502 with the 47 West 63rd, NYC address on both labels; 767 Lexington Ave. address on the bottom of the back cover. Record has “ear” and “RVG” inscribed in the dead wax. 11 tracks with 3 groups record in 1952, 1953, 1954. Artists include Jay Jay Johnson, trombone; Jimmy Heath, tenor sax; Gil Coggins, piano; Jackie McLean, alto sax; Oscar Pettiford, bass; Horace Silver, piano; Art Blakey, drums and others in various combinations. Cover: Mint(-). Intact and clean with slight soil on the front cover. This is minor and is possibly from ordinary shelf wear. Cover: Mint(-). Visually shows no wear. 4 or 5 light surface rub marks. Some barely visible. While this record may have been played several times, no surface noise. Audibly checked.
