Description
This is Prestige Records 7166, Workin' With The Miles Davis Quintet, a yellow deep groove, Bergenfield NJ label, original mono issue, of this classic session with RVG stamped in the dead wax and featuring the classic quintet of John Coltrane, Paul Chambers, Red Garland and Philly Joe Jones. The record looks in VG condition but plays VG+ showing many marks on both sides but still playing quietly except for some initial background crackle at the beginning of side 2 and the quiet spots on In Your Own Sweet Way. The cover has clear tape on the seams and a small amount of pen on the back, but is otherwise intact. The labels show some spindle marks.The record has been cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This would make an excellent initial "play" copy of this rare original issue.
