Description

Miles Davis “The New Miles Davis Quintet” Prestige Records 1956 1st pressing (# LP 7014 mono) in a laminate cardboard sleeve. The record grading is Very Good (VG). On Side A, track 1 has some crackling, whereas tracks 2 & 3 have barely any. Right at the end of the Side/track 3 there are some faint pops due to a tiny scratch that go to the end for ~20 seconds - nothing overpowering. On Side B it’s pretty clean throughout with minimal crackling - where the static occurs, it doesn’t overpower the music. The following is on the runout grooves:

  • Side A): (etched) PRLP-7014 A RVG

  • Side B): (etched) PRLP-7014 B RVG

NOTE: Artist misprinted as "The New Miles Davis Quartet" on the labels..

This is the “green” cover with the original cursive-style ‘prestige lp’ text in the upper right-hand corner signifying a 1st pressing/edition. The outer case is Excellent (EX) with no splits and a tiny ding on the front cover and very minor wear on the seams & spine. (all reflected in the photos). All sales final.

NOTE: This album will ship with the inner sleeve & record OUTSIDE of the cover as to prevent any possible seam damage to the cover during shipment. Both the album cover and the inner sleeve & vinyl will be contained within a plastic protective sleeve inside of the shipping box with padding on top & bottom. This item will also be insured for the full sale value at my cost.
