Milstein Masterpieces Nathan Milstein Original Aust Capitol
On “Milstein Masterpieces”, Nathan Milstein with the Concert Arts Orchestra conducted by Walter Susskind performs Beethoven “Romance No. 2”, Wieniawski’s “Legende”, Novacek’s “Perpetuum Mobile” and other works by Mozart, Stravinsky and Saint-Saens. An original Australian stereo pressing on the Capitol Label (SP 8528), the labels are black with a multi-coloured border and a Full Dimensional Sound Logo. The record has two prominent scuffs across the first track of side two, but apart from some minor crackle, they do not cause undue sound. The record otherwise is of excellent appearance, and plays and sounds superb with some minor surface noise. The cover laminate has rubbed with a ring.
