Description

Rare - Nathan Milstein Mendelssohn  Concerto in E minor & Bruch concerto no 1 in G minor. Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Leon Barzin. 12"Lp Capitol SP8518 Stereo. Made in Great Britain 1961. Matrix Side 1 SP1 8518-D19 Side 2 SP2-8518-D18. Sleeve has a laminated front with three flip back edges light wear edges and corners, small tick rear near catalogue number, overall very good.looks like an original inner sleeve. Labels are Capitol Uk version of the fifth USA Capitol label, 1959 -1964 some spindle wear, generally in excellent condition. Vinyl Side 1 has a scratch about 1 cm long towards the start of the side and a number of very fine hairlines. The scratch does click for approx 30 rotations most are quite light 4 or 5 more noticeable,there is also some light distortion in this area for approx 3 rotations, no jumps or skips the rest of side 1 plays very good+. Side 2 has some fine hairlines, plays with some very light crackle mainly at the start, three clicks towards the end of track B1 overall this side plays very good+ would be excellent without the three clicks.
