Description

The record has the address 767 Lexington Ave. NYC on both labels; 47 West 63rd St. address at the bottom of the back cover. Deep groove on both sides. No "R' at the bottom of the blue section of the label. The record has "RVG" and the "ear" on both sides inscribed in the dead wax. There are 12 tracks which include 3 alternate masters. Milt Jackson, vibes, on all tracks. 6 tracks also includes John Lewis, piano; Lou Donaldson, alto sax; Percy Heath, bass; Kenny Clarke, drums. 4 tracks also includes Sahib Shihab, alto sax; Thelonious Monk, piano; Al McKibbon, bass; Art Blakey, drums. 2 tracks also include Monk, piano; John Simmons, bass; Shadow wilson, drums.

Cover: VG++ Intact and clean. 1/2" split on the bottom insert edge corner. Light overall aging.

Record: VG+ or Better Visually shows no wear. There are a few, very light surface rub marks. These are barely visible. There are some discoloration spots in the vinyl probably a result of the manufacturing process. These do not affect the sound. There is a light click that repeats throughout Track 2, Side 1. There does not appear to be a scratch on that track. The balance of Side 1 has only a very few, light clicks. There are several clicks on Track 2, Side 2. The balance of Side 2 has only a very few light, isolated clicks. Most of the record plays with no surface noise. Audibly checked.
