Description
The Munsters television show picture sleeve for the 45 titled "The Munsters Theme"; Epic 5-9728, 1964. Up for auction here is the picture sleeve ONLY -- no vinyl. The photos show front and back side of the sleeve. Rub off spot in the word "orchestra" as showing in the first photo. A nick in the top edge above it, and some discoloration along the top edge. Because of improper storage, the sleeve was stuck together with other picture sleeves and could not be separated without damage. The second photo shows the ruboff spot in the upper left corner, along with dark discoloration, and a tear that runs through the ruboff spot from the left edge and then down about an inch. There is some overall wrinkling. Also a 1-inch tear on the bottom edge near the lower left corner. Despite the obvious flaws, the photo, color and detail are fine and the edges and corners pretty solid for a 50-year-old sleeve. Nice display item, and could be doctored a bit for an outstanding one.

This item belonged to a former employee of the Columbia Records pressing plant in Terre Haute, IN. From 1962-1972, she horded thousands of 45s (and hundreds of sleeves) from the plant directly into the basement of her home. Most of them were never played or used,
