The Mindbenders

Schoolgirl / Coming Back

(Fontana UK 1967) EX

The Mindbenders remain totally underrated with a reputation for bubblegum pop, probably due to their time with Wayne Fontana. They produced some remarkable experimental music on their own however, and none better or rarer than this particular 45. Both sides are amazing imaginative pop psych and it sold pitifully at the time, making it one of their hardest to find. This is a lovely copy too, just a tiny spot on the bottom of the B side label (see photo) and the vinyl is just shade off mint minus, so a very nice EX. It also comes with a Fontana company bag.

Listen to both sides taken from the actual 45 for sale:

Side A: Schoolgirl

Side B: Coming back

Grading

M-     As new, no marks of any kind whatsoever.

EX    Perhaps a few featherlight whispy marks, but no scratches or deterioration in sound

VG+ Some light marks on the vinyl, but nothing that should cause clicks or pops, just occasional light surface noise.

VG   Some heavier marks and maybe a few scratches that will cause some noise, but will still be a very enjoyable listen with definitely no sticks or skips or constant surface noise.
