Description
For sale is Minnie Riperton's Perfect Angel, originally released in 1974 by Epic Records and re-issued by Capitol Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are etched the matrix numbers F5 #1/F-1 #2, followed by "Wally" and "Mastered by Capitol", indicating that this album was mastered by Wally Traugott at Capitol Studios and an early stamper was used to make this first edition. These hallmarks signify state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of the vinyl and any insert(s) or original inner sleeve(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent because of faint sleeve marks. The vinyl is play graded as Excellent because of occasional low level surface noise that is barely noticeable. The cover is graded as VG+ because of corner blunts, edge rubs, tiny stress cracks along the spine and some sticker residue on the top right hand corner. The spine has a little color loss. This is still one of the best copies of this record that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. It's been played on only Audiophile equipment since I bought it and still has a lot of life yet. This would make a great addition to a anyone's collection. It's a beautifully sounding record. I have other Soul albums, as well as records of all different genres in my Ebay store. They're mostly Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
