Okay, so here is a pretty nice grouping of 3 rare Minor Threat items: 1) MINT condition copy of 1st pressing of Minor Threat's 1st 7" EP 2) Very early lyric handout 3) VERY rare "Out Now" flyer from June 1981 advertising Minor Threat's first record, for putting up around Washington, DC area ......HISTORY / BACKGROUND: 1) MINT condition copy of 1st pressing of Minor Threat's 1st 7" EP, released in June 1981. Dischord No. 3. Black vinyl record, in white paper inner sleeve, housed in thick red paper sleeve. Record has 8 songs: "Filler", "I Don't Wanna Hear It", "Seeing Red", "Straight Edge", "Small Man, Big Mouth", "Screaming At A Wall", "Bottled Violence", and "Minor Threat." Produced by Minor Threat, Mixed by Skip Groff. Recorded by Don Zientara at Inner Ear Studios in Arlington, Virginia (on 4-track tapedeck, in the basement of his house). Record includes folded lyric sheet, with "Later is Greater" handwritten upon it (outside, does not show on lyric/photo side). Who knows who wrote it, or what it was supposed to mean, but it was definitely done during the cutting, folding, gluing of record covers and stuffing of them with records. 2) Lyric handout is legal size (8 1/2" x 14", or 215mm x 354mm), and is from April/May 1981. It was given out by Minor Threat to audience members at shows in April and May of 1981, before their first record came out. Lyric Sheet urges people to "Buy S.O.A. "No Policy" EP, Discord No. 2" (which came out in April 1981) and also says "Due Soon: Minor Threat EP--Discord No. 3" (which came out in June 1981). One amazing thing is that Dischord is misspelled not once, but twice! - I have no idea who left out the "h" when typing it. 3) "Out Now" flyer is also legal size (8 1/2" x 14", or 215mm x 354mm), and is from June 1981. It advertises Minor Threat's first record, and lists 2 DC-area record stores where you could buy the record. Yesterday & Today was the record store run by Skip Groff who mixed the record and who gave us early advice on pressing records, etc. Dischord logo at bottom of flyer is a VERY early version of logo. This is the first advertisement ever made for a Minor Threat record.....DETAILS / CONDITION: 1) Minor Threat record is absolutely mint. It has NEVER, ever been played, and has been in poly bag since it was made in June of 1981. 2) Lyric handout is in pristine condition, and has been kept flat for 26 years. Very slight yellowing to paper, noticeable only to the extent that you can tell flyer is original. 3) "Out Now" flyer is mint except for 2 things, both very slight: lower right-hand corner has slight bend to it (see photo), and left edge of flyer has very slight yellowing to it (see photo), but neither of these things are noticeable unless you're looking at it quite closely .......If you win the auction: I want buyer to be happy with their purchase. As in all of my auctions, if the record does not play well or is not as described, then I will accept returns and give a refund. I have no desire to rip anybody off, nor do I want to disappoint anyone....PROVENANCE: Authenticity of all 3 items and their stated condition is 100% unconditionally guaranteed.
