FLAT, Cut but Unfolded SLEEVE ONLY - NO RECORD INCLUDED! Super-duper Rare, Mint-condition, flat, cut but un-folded cover for 2nd pressing of Minor Threat's "In My Eyes" 7" EP. (7 3/16" x 14 3/8" [183mm x 365mm], not including white tabs for gluing.) Black ink on White Glossy Paper, perfect condition. Of all 3 pressings of "In My Eyes", this is by FAR the nicest of all. Just like the 1st pressing of Dischord No. 1, The Teen Idles, the cover scratches very easily, so it was nearly impossible to cut, fold, and glue a cover without it getting at least a little scratched up - the example for auction here has not a single scratch .....[The 1st pressing (1,000 copies) had 125 or so with Xeroxed covers, and 875 properly printed, thin, non-glossy paper. The 2nd pressing (1,000), from whence this example came, was printed on nice, glossy stock, and the reproduction of the photographs is the best of all pressings. 3rd pressing (2,000) was on thicker, non-glossy stock, photos didn't look so great.] This is one of VERY few unfolded covers left over after laboriously cutting, folding, gluing and filling 1,000 of them with records. I still remember clearly how shiny and painful (and black with ink!) one's fingernails would get after doing several hunded covers, from burnishing down folds. It was nice of friends to come over and help us with them, while we ate pizza from Mario's and watched TV. .....CONDITION: Mint, mint, mint. It has been kept completely flat and away from light for 25 years. PROVENANCE: This unfolded 7" cover is completely, unconditionally guaranteed to be 100% original, and comes from the punk archives of Jeff Nelson ( Minor Threat / Dischord ), which are being downsized after having recently been deemed to be "too big" and "insane".
