  Minor Threat "Out Of Step" EP 1st Pressing Sealed Copy DESCRIPTION: This is a very rare, mint-condition SEALED copy of the 1st pressing of Minor Threat's "Out of Step" 12" EP from March 1983, with solid black back cover. (Dischord Records No. 10, Washington, DC)  There were only 3,500 copies made in this 1st pressing.  Even though you cannot see it (because record is sealed), a lyric sheet is included.  I have photographed a lyric sheet as well as one of the labels from an unsealed copy so you can see what they look like.  I am also enclosing  an original 11" x 11" "Out of Step" tour poster from 1983, featuring a picture of Ian and Lyle from Gallery East show in Boston in 1982. The band slapped these posters on the back of some copies of the first version of "Out of Step" that we sold on tour, because we were so bummed out by the all-black back cover, which resulted from my graphic arts cluelessness. Finally, I'm including a small flyer advertising 4 early Dischord records (No. 2 S.O.A., Henry Rollins' first band, before he joined Black Flag), No. 3 Minor Threat 7", No. 5 Minor Threat "In My Eyes", No. 9 Scream "Still Screaming"), and the upcoming No. 10, "Out of Step."
CONDITION / PROVENANCE:  As stated, record is in mint condition, sealed in its original shrinkwrap.  It has been kept in a plastic sleeve away from light and dust for the last 27 years (same with the tour poster and small flyer).  Seeing as record has never been unwrapped, it follows that it has never been played. This record and the 2 flyers are unconditionally guaranteed to be original, from 1983.  All come from my (Jeff Nelson - Minor Threat/Dischord Records) punk archives, which are being downsized after continuing to be described variously as "too big" and "insane" or containing "more than my potential kids or grandkids will ever want."  Please see my auction for lots of other punk/hardcore flyers and records as well as other jetsam I'll be putting up for sale......

SHIPPING: This is a valuable record, and when shipping it I will pack it flat between multiple sheets of strong cardboard and put in an oversized box, and thus it will weigh more than eBay's one-size-fits-all postage pricing.  Within USA, Priority Mail will be calculated once auction ends.  eBay now requires sellers to include and pay for insurance, so I am adding $1.75 in "handling costs" to cover the Post Office's minimum charge for insuring a package.
