Description

You are looking at a RARE first pressing of Out of Step, by the D.C. hardcore band Minor Threat.  This 8-song record is widely recognized as one of the "definitive hardcore records" of the 80s.  As I mentioned, this is a highly collectible true first pressing.  These don't show up very often on eBay, and they are always very popular auctions.  A sealed copy of this same record sold just last week for over $600!

This record is in very good condition.  I have owned it for the last two years, during which time it remained in a protective plastic sleeve in a filing cabinet.  I cannot say where it spent the former 25 years of it's life, but it is in remarkable condition for a record from 1983 (one of the better ones I have seen).  The record also comes with a photocopy of the CORRECT lyric sheet!  The 1st pressing was the only one that used the "half-sheet" lyric sheet.  Every Out of Step pressing since has used a fold-open lyric sheet that has a band photo on the top half of the sheet.  I see a lot of "1st pressing" auctions on eBay that claim to include the "original lyric sheet," but have the fold-open sheet pictured.

The record will be shipped in a plastic sleeve inside a protective padded vinyl mailer.  I buy and sell a lot of records, and I know how to package them properly, so please don't worry about it being damaged in transit.  I have purchased records in the past that arrived in shoddy packaging, and I would hate to do that to someone else, especially with a record like this one!
