Description
Insanely rare soundtrack I picked up years ago while traveling to Hawaii. I believe it to be the soundtrack or music inspired by the Red Peony Gambler Yakuza films by director Kōsaku Yamashita. The tattoo on the shoulder near identically resembles the one from the original Valiant Red Peony. From the movie, Ryuko Yano, AKA Oryu, is a wandering female yakuza on a soul-searching journey after the death of her father. It is one of several famous Yakuza films with lead female roles in the late 60s and early 70s.

The movie is credited with Takeo Watanabe for the music, but the album cover looks to have the following credits:

This is why I'm confused on if it is a 'inspired by' soundtrack or the actual. The later series/spinoff had a bit more ornate of a tattoo design that wrapped around the front. This cover art has some leaves coming from the front, so perhaps it is from one of the later movies in the series or a compilation of songs from several of the movies.
Sleeve is EX with only minor corner flaws. Inner white paper of the gatefold has some minor age spotting, perhaps dragging it down to a VG++
Vinyl is EX to NM. Plays very well. As good if not better than the samples on YouTube.
