Comments: This is a first pressing copy of “Highly Refined Pirates” on black wax. I don’t know how many were pressed on black. If I recall, it was a pretty limited run, as they’ve done at least three other pressing on different colored vinyl. This is rare. When played there is popping and some surface noise throughout. Since there are a few marks and scratches, it’s hard to say if I’m hearing popping or skips. It isn't that noticeable because they happen infrequently. A couple places throughout have a hard pop or slight skip, but nothing major. The album cover is in okay condition. At first glance, there is a bend that spans the length of the cover. There’s a few other places that it looks like the cover was bent. All four corners are slightly bent. Back cover has the same bend as the front. Also, there’s a black mark (1/2 inch in length) that is front center closer to the bottom (see picture). I don’t know what it is. This apparently created some other lighter stains near the black mark. Original liner notes are included and are in good condition except where the sleeve was bent in half; there is a crease in the same spot on the paper. Own this great record today!

I have played many of these records personally and taken the time give an accurate grading. I played them on a very cheap belt-driven Sony turntable. If you have better equipment, most of these will probably sound or play better than they did for me. What you are bidding on is an actual portrayal of what you will receive. I do my best to describe everything I sell in accurate and honest detail. If the items say new, they are new. If items are used, I make every effort to be as precise as possible. LP’s will be shipped in a sturdy vinyl mailer outside of the cover in an inner-sleeve (unless sealed) between one or two pieces of cardboard (depending on the number of LP’s in the mailer). 7” or 45’s are shipped between two pieces of cardboard in a bubble mailer (sorry, I’m out of those mailers).
Delivery confirmation and insurance are optional but must be requested upon auction ending. It is not necessary but highly encouraged due to the carelessness of the United States Postal Service. Rates are as follows:
