Comments: Ridell is a Mississippi born R&B singer who worked extensively in New Orleans during his early career, with at least one 45 on White Cliffs. This 45 was originally released as “I'm Black And I Know I'm Somebody" on this Texas based label. It was banned from airplay in Mississippi and subsequently re-released with the title offered here. The music can be described as up-tempo Funky Soul stretching over two sides. The singer talks more than sings and is supported by a small but mighty R&B combo.
