John Hurts first recordings wonderfully masterd by Nick Perls sonically true to the 78's from which they were taken.Vinyl sound is head and shoulders way over any cd sound! Extensive liner notes, astutely written by Steve Calt. Nick, Steve and all the folks connected with Yazoo company were top notch craftsman and historians,always gathered the best sides,arranged beautifully. Interesting to compare this to Johns later work after rediscovery in the 1960's,style unchanged, talent undiminished just slower,guitar and voice aged like fine wine. I bought this c mid 70's pressing in the early 80's for guitar study played it a few times, stored it safely ever since.Fabulous condition in every way. Excellent thick vinyl, deep grooved a fine addition for a collector, guitarist or blues fan. International buyers welcome, pay duties in their own country.
