Description

Classic 78 BY Mississippi Sheiks -- Recorded on Dec 15th 1930 in Jackson MS. 

Mississippi Sheiks Sitting on Top of the World No. 2 -- 404709-A Okeh 8854 / Times Done Got Hard -- 404711-B Okeh 8854

Walter Vinson on Guitar and Vox, probably Lonnie Chatmon on violin according to best guesses.

Bo Carter, Sam Chatmon, Charlie (Charley) Patton were all associated with this band at one time or another.


Physical Condition:  No skips.  Plays end to end with some surface noise, this is probably my most listened to 78.    There is a chip on the edge of 'Times Done Got Hard' but it does not affect playing.  Smaller chip on 'Sitting' side .. again, not in playing area.
