Description

The space album by modern jazz quartet is a good album, everything plays properly with no skips, It's not mint condition or anything like that. Normally I wouldn't even sell a record like this on eBay BUT HERE IS THE REALLY INTERESTING THING ABOUT THIS RECORD.... WHAT CAME WITH IT WHEN I OPENED IT.....


I purchased a lot of jazz records at an estate sale and I've been going through them. When I opened this one, there was an additional disc inside with no information other than on the center of the record it says "A gift from the M.J.Q." It says this on both sides of the lp. I did a Google search and an eBay search and can find no information about this recording or pressing.  There is an introduction by a band member on one side of the record, which led me to believe that this was recorded for the BBC around 1962 and features the traditional MJQ lineup.
