Description

For some strange reason, Arthur Pryor is erroneously credited on the 
label of this record. (I wonder if all were labeled as such?)
In any case, it is cornet legend Walter B. Rogers who plays a solo 
entitled "The Tale Of The Sea Shell" on Victor Monarch 2470.
Sousa's Band provides the accompaniment.
This was recorded on August 18, 1903, just days before Rogers left 
his position of cornet soloist with Sousa, to become the Musical 
Director for Victor. (I wonder if his leaving had anything to do with the 
mislabeling?)
This single-sided disc is in E- to V+ condition.
