This auction is for a wonderful 1971 LP from William Howard "Monk" Montgomery, a pioneer of the electric bass guitar and the brother of jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery and vibraphonist Buddy Montgomery, “Bass Odyssey.”
If you haven’t heard Monk play before you’re in for a real treat.  Fantastic mix of soul, funk and jazz.  
What makes this LP extra special is that is a white label promo marked “DISC JOCKEY COPY NOT FOR SALE.”  I have seen very few of these over the years.
This particular copy is beautiful.  The LP itself appears to be unplayed although I will grade it as NM just in case I missed something small.  It is clean and beautiful with no imperfections.  The labels are also clean as photographs show.
The jacket is a solid VG+.  It has a small amount of wear, particularly on the corners.  There is also a small, about 1/8 of an inch, cut out or ? on the bottom left corner.  The colors are nice and there is otherwise little to no wear on jacket.
The LP has been hand cleaned with GrooveWasher G2, which I believe is the finest record cleaner on the market.  The LP has been placed in an anti-static inner sleeve.  
This is a beauty collectors!  Very difficult to find - especially in this condition.  Thank you.
