Description
Montrose "Jump On It"
This is a vinyl pressing on WB 2963 from 1976. This is a test pressing. It comes in a plain white cover with writing on the front. When this album was released the cover caused some contoversy because it showed a close-up of a woman's crotch. The band on this album is Ronnie Montrose, Bob James, Jim Alcivar, and Denny Carmass. (Sammy Hagar was not on this album.) It was produced by Jack Douglas.
Why are test pressing so rare ?? A test pressing is the very first pressing of a record. It's made so that the artist, producer, engineer, and record company executives can approve the record. They are pressed in extremely limited numbers ( like 50 to 100 ) and are never repressed. They are sent out before the cover and labels have been printed.
The songs are : Let's Go, What Are You Watin' For, Tuft-Sedge, Music Man, Jump On It, Rich Man, Crazy For You, and Merry-Go-Round.
Overall Condition : Cover : VG+ / Record : M
The cover is VG+. There are no seam splits and there is no ring wear. There is writing on the cover : the record number, the artist, the title, and number 25. The vinyl looks mint and it plays mint. The labels are blank with hand written sides noted. The matric numbers are : Side 1 : BS-1-2963-LW1 and Side 2 : BS-2-2963-LW2 .
I will package this record between two pieces of 1/2 inch think cardboard. ( It's so thick that you will save it and use again. ) It will weigh 21 ounces ( 1 pound, 5 ounces ) when ready to ship. You can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail. It will be sent by First Class Mail International to overseas buyers. ( Buyers from Italy will assume all risks for shipping to their country) I will send it as soon as you pay ( same day of before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM ) I will combine postage if you win more than one record. This record is from a no smoking and no pets home.
