Description
"They call him Moondog". Avant-garde musician Moondog, Snaketime Series on Moondog Records. This is the heavy vinyl deep groove original pressing with the "101 West 44th St., N.Y.C." address on the label. Includes the four page insert titled, "Moondog and his strange music". Vinyl Side 1 VG-/Side 2 VG+. Vinyl has a few pops and some surface noise but it plays through with no problem and the overall sound is still vibrant. Jacket is VG mostly due to the seam split completely down the spine and 2 1/2" split along the top. There is some discoloration on the front, along the right edge. There is also some discoloration on the back bottom corner, too. Probably some beatnik spilled their drink on the album cover while they were diggin' the Moondog on the phonograph player way back there in the 50's.There is the usual amount of wear a jacket accumulates being kicked around for the last 54 years. Besides the seam split, it is still a handsome cover. Labels still look nice, no writing, stickers or tears, just a few spindle marks. Insert is NM. Except for a few yellow age spots it would be in perfect condition. This is a truly rare recording of unique music from a true enigma. Don't miss your chance to own this milestone album.
