redgarnett Store ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This handsome and rare 3 LP box set – a still-sealed copy – from Brasilarte (BIP 0303, Brazilian pressing, label iteration unknown, DDD stereo) features Arthur Moreira Lima in an exalted traversal of Chopin’s 16 Polonaises, recorded in the 1980s.
Lima worked with, among others, Maurgerite Long in Paris and Rudolf Kerer in Moscow and was a Prize Winner at the Chopin, Leeds, and Tchaikovsky Piano Competitions. Although he is well-known, his discography is not, owing to its issue on smaller labels with generally more limited distribution. He is a pianist, and Chopinist, of the front rank and his Polonaises can withstand the most exalted comparisons.

CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the box is EXCELLENT. There is a former price sticker to the front panel and a few small tears to the cellophane. However, there are no corner breaks, seamsplits, or other defects, and the box remains solid, bright, and attractive – an excellent collector’s copy.
The condition of the 3 LPs is MINT. These are still-sealed, unplayed LPs – ideal collector’s copies.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
