Morning Dew LP Monster rare Kansas psych Roulette 1970

Here's a rarity-------Morning Dew's self titled 1970 pressing on Roulette Records SR-42049 "Morning Dew". Jacket is VG- with some lower 7" lower edge split, corner wear, a 2" top edge split, and remnants of tape (I removed) along the spine on either side.   There also is a stamp on back as you can see in the photo. Having said all that----this album still shows well---the beautiful photo on the cover is vibrant and unworn--and all the graphics are crisp. Vinyl is VG---with only some light noise largely masked by the music. Beautiful gloss with maybe a few hairlines--no scuffs. The labels are mint. Ask any and all questions. Winner to add $6.50 for Priority mail insured--or $5 Media mail. NB: (1) has been counterfeited on vinyl. (2) issued on CD as Second Album by Collectables (COL-CD-0655), with four bonus tracks, which were left over from the first album. There is also a CD compilation of seventeen tracks by Collectables called Definitive Collection (COL-CD-0592).  

This outfit came from Topeka, Kansas. Their Roulette album is well worth obtaining particularly for the superb opening cut Crusader's Smile although many of the other cuts like Cherry Street feature good guitar work. Their 45s were made prior to the album and are much more punkish. Go Away has a good catchy guitar riff.

They had a good live reputation and performed great cover versions of many of the punk classics of the era, which were full of fuzz and feedback.

(CD), which also features The Thingies and The Exotics.
