Description
On offer here is the COMPLE SET of Morrissey promotional singles that were issued by EMI between 1990 - 1992 using archive HMV jacket designs. There are 2 x 10 inch singles and 6 x 7 inch singles. ALL DISCS ARE IN UNPLAYED MINT CONDITION, Most jackets are in excellent / good condition, but a couple have minor scuffs/ damage (highlighted in the descriptions below & see photos). ONLY 300 OF EACH WERE EVER ISSUED, so to find a complete set such as this is VERY RARE INDEED. Picture 11 shows the double page photo of the set that is published in the excellent PEEPHOLISM book. In order of release, they are:
- POP DJ 1624 : 7 inch single - 'Piccadilly Palare' b/w 'Get of the stage'. Jacket in superb condition. DISC IN UNPLAYED MINT CONDITION.
- POP DJ 1625; 7 inch single - 'Our Frank' b/w 'Journalists who lie'. Jacket in fair condition, rubbing marks where it's been pressed against other discs. DISC IN UNPLAYED MINT CONDITION.
- POP DJ 1626 : 7 inch single - 'Sing your life' b/w 'That's Entertainment'. Jacket in good condition, with just a bit of rubbing where it has pressed against other discs. DISC IN UNPLAYED MINT CONDITION.
- POP DJ 1627: 7 inch single - 'Pregnant for the last time' b/w 'Skin storm'. Jacket in superb condition. DISC IN UNPLAYED MINT CONDITION.
- POP DJ 1628 : 7 inch single - 'My Love life' b/w 'I've Changed my plea to guilty'. Jacket is in fair condition, slight creasing as shown. DISC IN UNPLAYED MINT CONDITION.
- POP DJ 1629 : 10 inch single - 'We hate it when our friends become successful', 78rpm b/w 'We hate it when our friends become successful', 45rpm. Jacket is in good condition, with just a bit of rubbing where it has been pressed against other discs. DISC IN UNPLAYED MINT CONDITION
- POP DJ 1630: 10 inch single - 'You're the one for me, Fatty', 78 rpm b/w 'You're the one for me, Fatty', 45 rpm. The jacket has a small tear on the front (from the top down to the T of 'Masters', and another tear around the label opening on the back (pic 9). It is also sun-bleached on the left hand edge (as you can see in pic ). DISC IN UNPLAYED MINT CONDITION.
- POP DJ 1631: 7 inch single - 'Certain people I know' b/w 'Jack the ripper'. The iconic MOZ / T REX jacket, in pretty much mint condition, just a small crease on the bottom left corner. DISC IN UNPLAYED MINT CONDITION.
