The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

Japanese pressings are a particular pleasure to own, being pressed on high quality vinyl and always lavishly packaged with Japanese/English lyric inserts. The first copies of this Japanese pressing of 'Viva Hate' were also accompanied by a bonus single-track 7" with 'Hairdresser On Fire' on the A-Side and etched artwork on the B-side. This copy for auction is even more desirable in that it is the very rare promotional version of this release and is not only in outstanding condition (see below) but is also complete with 'OBI strip' and Japanese/English lyric insert booklet accompanying the main record. The insert booklet appears to contain excerpts from a Morrissey interview in Japanese, and has the miniature Japanese/English lyric insert which came with the etched 7". The bonus 7" itself is a particularly sought-after item in recent times, becoming increasingly rare and the etched reproduction of the 'Suedehead' artwork on the reverse is quite exquisite! This copy, being the promotional version, has the distinctive Japanese characters denoting its promotional nature on the black record labels, and also has the promotional sticker for radio stations on the reverse of the sleeve; which is intact and has not been written on. In fact, both records appear unplayed and it is highly likely that it never made it as far as being sent out to a radio station. In addition, the bonus etched 7" is the white label version which only accompanied this special promotional pressing; the white labels of this 7" also carry the distinctive Japanese 'promotional' characters. This is a tremendously-rare item, and you would be highly unlikely to find another today which has been preserved in better condition.The vinyl and labels are in near mint condition, appearing unplayed and having no surface marks on the highly-glossy vinyl or black labels. The sleeve and OBI strip are also in near mint condition, with sharp edges and practically no signs of wear at all with just the very mildest of corner 'bumping' in a few places. There is no creasing and no seam-splits, neither is there any significant sign of 'ring wear'. The outer sleeve has benefitted from having the record stored separately since being in my possession. The inner lyric booklet is also in near mint condition with only the lightest signs of handling. The etched 7", sleeve and insert are all also in near mint condition, with no marks on the vinyl and just some faint 'rippling' in its delicate thin paper sleeve which has no splits or damage. This is a truly impressive item, whose value is likely to grow and grow given its condition.
