The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

The original pressing versions of Morrissey vinyl LPs are getting more difficult to get hold of in collectable condition, as the copies which are in good condition are increasingly being bought up by Morrissey and Smiths collectors. This auction is for the first two LPs to be released by Morrissey as a solo artist, namely 'Viva Hate' in 1988 and then the compilation album 'Bona Drag' in 1990. Both of these LPs have been looked after extremely well (see below) and would therefore be considered collectable in this state. These LP versions are rarer than their CD counterparts, and are a tremendous way to hear these early albums in high-quality sound.The vinyl and labels for 'Viva Hate' are in near mint condition, having been played just a few times and having only 'hairline' surface marks on the highly-glossy vinyl. The outer sleeve is also in near mint condition, having no significant creases and no writing, seam-splits or damage anywhere. All edges are sharp and there is barely even any 'corner wear'. The original picture inner sleeve is also present and in near mint condition with no wear at all. In the case of 'Bona Drag', the vinyl and labels are in excellent condition with some light surface marks in a few places which do not affect play. There is also a 'manufacturing defect' on the label on Side 2 which means that the label had split in the centre before it was glued down in the pressing plant; but the positioning of the label and overall appearance are not affected. The outer picture sleeve is in strong excellent condition, with sharp edges and barely even any corner wear. There are no creases, and there is no writing or damage anywhere; neither is there any seam-splitting. On the front of the sleeve there are some faint 'specks' visible which have been there from new and are a result of the quality of the cardboard used for the outer sleeve, which appears to be recycled board. The original picture inner sleeve is also present and in strong excellent condition. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the items themselves.
