The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

Morrissey - 'Viva Hate' and 'Bona Drag' Vinyl LPs - 1988 - 1990

The original pressings of Morrissey vinyl LPs are getting more and more difficult to get hold of in collectable condition, as the copies which are in exceptional condition are increasingly being bought up by Morrissey and Smiths collectors. This auction is for the first vinyl pressings of the first two LPs which were released by Morrissey as a solo artist, namely 'Viva Hate' in 1988 and then the compilation album 'Bona Drag' in 1990. Both of these LPs have been looked after superbly well (see below) and are highly collectable in this condition; the outer sleeve for 'Bona Drag' also has the original circular track information sticker, which is intact and unmarked. These LP versions are far rarer than their CD counterparts, and are a tremendous way to hear these early albums in the high quality of sound which accompanies the vinyl format.The vinyl and labels for 'Viva Hate' are in near mint condition, having hardly been played at all and having only a few 'hairline' surface marks on the highly-glossy vinyl which can only be seen when held to the light. The outer sleeve is in strong excellent condition, having no creases or writing anywhere. All edges are sharp and there is barely even any 'corner wear'; the only significant sign of wear is the beginning of a minor seam-split in the centre of the upper edge of the sleeve. The original picture inner sleeve is also present and also in strong excellent condition with very little sign of wear at all. In the case of 'Bona Drag', the vinyl and labels are also in near mint condition with practically no marks at all on the highly-glossy vinyl, even when held to the light. The outer picture sleeve is in at least strong excellent condition, with sharp edges and just some very minor 'corner wear' and some 'rubbing' in a few places mainly along the bottom edge of the sleeve. There are no creases, and there is no writing or damage anywhere. The original picture inner sleeve is also present and in terrific near mint condition. Both of these records have clearly been stored very carefully from new and are, as such, rare examples of these sought-after vinyl pressings. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the items themselves.
