The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. 'You Are The Quarry' was Morrissey's 2004 'comeback' album and, despite its success, was pressed in very limited numbers in the vinyl format. Only in this US release and a counterpart release for the European market was the album pressed on vinyl. This US release was apparently issued in even smaller numbers than the European equivalent. Morrissey LP pressings are generally very collectable, particularly when pressed in limited numbers. The LP is lavishly packaged in a highly-glossy gatefold outer sleeve which opens to reveal a large-scale gatefold image of the album artwork (see photo), and the LP is housed in a glossy lyric inner sleeve. This is an item which is not seen for sale very often, and this particular copy has been kept in absolutely mint as-new condition (see below).The vinyl and labels are in near mint condition, being unplayed from new with only the lightest of occasional 'hairline' surface marks on the highly glossy heavyweight vinyl visible if held to the light. The lyric inner sleeve is similarly unmarked and as-new in appearance. The impressive glossy gatefold outer picture sleeve is also in near mint condition, having been carefully stored in a protective plastic sleeve from new. The odd very mild 'corner bump' is the only sign of wear at all on this very impressive example.
