Description
A NM- set of vinyl LPs from Mosaic’s iconic boxed sets. This scarce set is MR4-107, #516/5000 issued. This is the Complete Blue Note Forties Recordings of Ike Quebec and John Hardee, two of the most mellow and soulful tenor sax artists of that era, who toured with such giants as Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Ella Fitzgerald, and Roy Eldridge. Between the two of them, they produced some of the best sax music of the forties and fifties, joining the likes of Coleman Hawkins and Ben Webster as the greats of that time.
As mentioned, these records are in extremely fine condition. My wife tells me she played the set once after purchasing it new in the 70s. I know for sure that it hasn’t been played in the past eighteen years until I recently recorded the set. The booklet and box are also in NM or NM- condition, with no tears or markings other than minor shelf wear to the front cover. As with any vinyl that has been stored for a lengthy period, I recommend a thorough gentle cleaning with soapy water prior to playing.
Estimated shipping costs are as follows:
Priority: $13.20
Parcel Post: $9.90
International First Class: Varies by location
Please ignore any shipping costs listed by eBay. They are almost invariably incorrect, unless you want the album shipped via Media Rate. The rates above are from the USPS website. I don’t charge handling fees. I absorb the cost of insurance, but the item is not my responsibility once it’s in the US Postal system. Please see my feedback on other vinyl I have sold and bid with confidence. Bonus included with purchase! Thanks for looking and good luck.
