Description

Inherited from a relative, along with other stuff I am currently selling.  Very rare Mothers Of Invention album from 1966 + the very first A-1/B-1 matrix's and fold over laminated mono cover!  Has original 'Patents Applied For' plain white inner sleeve also.   Grading:-   Cover looks nice - with no tears, no splits, no writing and no other nasties!  Spine text is perfect and fully readable.  No edge wear - in fact the edges are near perfect b eing completely straight with no bends.  Cover has some creasing but is still is very flat looking.  And the laminate is super shiny with barely any record impression!  Corners have minimal wear (one has a possibility of inking in) and are still quite square looking.  The back is super clean with barely any toning and undamaged fold overs.  Usual ageing along edges of fold overs and no dirt or wear at all.  No tears or stickers. Despite the creasing to the front laminate - this cover is definitely a cut above most out there - take a good look at the pics!   I will grade the cover Very Good towards Very Good+.  The record is very black and shiny indeed, with only a few light lines.  Even under light the record is jet black and there is little in the way of paper rubbing.  Record plays well too - with just the some background crackle / surface noise in places.  But as this album has been sitting in my relatives collection for many years, I suspect it could do with a clean (even though it isn't dirty and has been well stored).  The labels look really nice, with no damage and only a few spindles!   I will grade the record Very Good towards Very Good+.  Very rare album to find now....
