Extremely vibrant, unfaded cover has light ring rub only. No other wear; no creases, writing or soil. Seams and spine are superb with no splits. Inside gatefold is super-clean.
VINYL: EX/VG+
DISC ONE has only very few light surface marks. Plays NM throughout. DISC TWO has few light scratches; most inaudible. Plays very clear and clean. Original 1st issue, grooved silver/blue VERVE labels are superb with no wear or marks.

Released on June 27th, 1966 on Verve Records, FREAK OUT is the debut album of The Mothers of Invention, led by Frank Zappa. Though often cited as one of rock music's first concept albums, the real unifying theme of the album is the scathingly satirical attitude based on Zappa's unique perception of American pop culture. It was also one of the earliest double albums in the history of rock music.
Verve Records' Tom Wilson signed The Mothers, formerly a bar band called the Soul Giants, to a record deal in the belief that they were a white blues band. The album features Frank Zappa, vocalist Ray Collins, along with bass player Roy Estrada, drummer Jimmy Carl Black and guitar player Elliot Ingber, who would later join Captain Beefheart's Magic Band under the name Winged Eel Fingerling.

This LP is kept in a protective, clear poly outer-sleeve.
