I bought this LP new in 1967 and am now selling it as my vinyl record collection has to go - not enough room to house it and I can't keep dragging it around when I move - it's too heavy!! 

Apparently it is extremely rare as Stereo hadn't really taken off when this record was pressed and most people were buying Mono so shops didn't stock very many of the Stereo version due to lack of demand.  As a result the Stereo one was deleted so there very few around.

On the Verve Records label 'MADE UNDER LICENCE FROM METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER INC. OWNERS OF THE TRADE MARK 'VERVE'.

STEREO

THE COVER   is in overall very good ++ condition.

The front:    is laminated with the 3 edge folded over and glued to the back format.  There are a few wrinkles in the laminate - mostly on the left hand side - but there are no spots where it has lifted.

The spine:   clean, easily legible.  Just one tiny crack in the laminate to the left of the 'A' of 'Absolutely' and another to the left of that. No laminate missing.

The back:  in is amazingly good condition - just a little discolured on the left side.  There is a Harlequin Record Shops sticker at the bottom which is actually a piece of printed sellotape.  It is beginning to lift.  I bought the record in the branch on Cheapside which is where I was working at the time.

I love the File under POPULAR: Pop Groups printed at the top right.  Never quite saw the Mothers as a pop group myself.

It has the Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents Pending printing at the bottom right.


THE INNER SLEEVE   is the  original 1st Press 'Patents Applied For' one which is in very good condition- no holes or tears - it has discoloured around the edges over the years and you can see the shape of the record.

THE VINYL:  spindle marks on both sides. I've played it all the way through on both sides and there are no jumps or sticking points, plays really well and sounds great.  There are a couple of clicks on Track 2, Side 2.  There are minor sleeve scuffs on both sides and a couple of more visible scratches on Side 1 which don't make any difference to the sound.
