"Iron Fist" finds Motörhead at a crucial moment when they found themselves caught in the tornado of success and, in true Motörhead fashion, plunged into their next phase with such speed that it surpassed logic and reason and became this trio's final kamikaze joyride became.

Reissue of the vinyl edition of »Iron Fist«.

Motörhead's fifth studio album was released in 1982 and is the last with the original line-up, as guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke left the band after the completion of "Iron Fist". He wasn't happy with the album even though - or perhaps precisely because - he produced it himself for the first time and the band's otherwise very dirty sound seems a bit more sterile. Nevertheless, songs like “Iron Fist”, “Heart of Stone” or “Speedfreak” are in no way inferior to their predecessors. The band didn't produce a similarly successful album again until the 1990s.
