Description
Original 1975 U.S. pressing of Mott’s Drive On on Columbia Records, catalog number PC 33705. The front cover is signed and inscribed by all five members of the Drive On lineup: Nigel Benjamin, Ray Major, Morgan Fisher, Pete “Overend” Watts and Dale “Buffin” Griffin. This was the short-lived post-Mott the Hoople lineup formed after the departures of Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson, and this exact five-member configuration recorded Drive On and its follow-up Shouting and Pointing.
Several of the signatures are personalized, with inscriptions written directly across the front cover. Signatures are in ballpoint/pen and remain readily visible, although some are light against the blue artwork. No certificate of authenticity is included; signatures are being offered as found and are shown closely in the photographs.
Cover shows general handling wear, creasing, scratches, edge and corner wear consistent with age. Includes the original printed lyric/photo inner sleeve. Vinyl appears generally clean with some visible light surface marks and handling wear
