Description
I'm starting to list a collection of about 200 lps and 45s put together by my wife between about 1969 and 1984. Few of these have been played more than 2 or 3 times as, generally, they were recorded to tape and then put away. About 75% are in Near Mint store bought condition and look as if they've just been purchased. They were usually bought within a few days of being issued so, not only are they in pristine condition, they're mostly first pressings. Plus the lps all have their original inner sleeves and any inserts. The collection has remained untouched in a cupboard at my wife's parents house since she moved out and got married in 1984. If I find any blemishes or faults with any of these records I will point them out. Even the slightest shelf wear is absent from many. If you require additional photos of anything please let me know.
This is a copy of the LP Wildlife by Mott The Hoople, early UK pressing from 1971 on Island ILPS 9144.
The stamped matrix no.s are ILPS 9144 A - 2U and ILPS 9144 B - 2U
The vinyl is in Near Mint condition with no visible scratches, scuffs or other blemishes. The labels are spotless with no stickers, writing, scuffs, spindle marks or stains.
The matt gatefold cover, printed by E. J, Day, London, is in Excellent condition. There are no tears, stains, creases, stickers or writing. The spine is perfectly legible. The only blemish I can find is a very faint line about an inch up from the bottom and running side to side. This can only be seen if you hold it up to the light and has probably always been there. The cardboard itself has a crispness and "newness" as if it had just left the printers..
The windowless inner sleeve just has the usual faint browning / ageing to the edges.
