This is one of my favorite records in my collection. Four beautiful songs that were recorded over two continents. from 1994.
Super rare, sold out, out of print. Hard to find. And....signed by both artists.
I was lucky enough to see The Mountain Goats play a few shows in Philadelphia and New York City with Alastair Galbraith (from New Zealand). I knew it was a rare and special thing to see these two perform together, and commemorated the event by having my record signed by both of them. Before they played that night, they were both sitting on the floor of the bar/club in Philadelphia, and I asked if they would be cool with signing it. Both agreed. John signed first, and then Alastair. They each played separate sets, but joined on stage to perform these songs together. Those were some of my favorite Mountain Goats shows...John played solo and played loud and powerfully and it looked like he was close to popping a vessel!
Truly I am sad to see this one go, but it's power should be passed on to another fan.
This record has been stored in a plastic sleeve and is in excellent condition. There is a little smudge on the plastic sleeve on the left side of the record. The dirt is NOT on the actual white sleeve. I should have wiped it off before taking the photo. I'm lazy though. I will wipe it off before I mail it to you. The original sticker residue from a price tag is on the paper sleeve. It can probably be removed if you really wanted to scrape it off.
