Description
Bohm's first recording of Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte from 1955 (London Records XLLA 32). This box set is in Excellent (VG++) condition with clean, quiet surfaces. The box containing the 3 records and complete 56-page libretto is in Excellent condition, and each record is contained within a waxed paper inner sleeve inside the original paper sleeve.
About Me
I don’t want my kids to be burdened with my ”stuff”, so I have decided to drastically downsize my record collection. I am not a dealer...the recordings listed for sale are from records I have been collecting for the last 60+ years (can you imagine!).
They have been purchased mostly as new records, but sometimes as used ones.
About Grading Records Grading Guidelines
I visually grade all records and play grade as many as I can. I generally follow the grading system used by the Record Collectors Guild (shown in quotes) but have added a VG++ grade as described below:
- Mint (M) “Absolutely perfect in every way”; never played, never opened.
- Near Mint (NM)* “A nearly perfect record … with no obvious signs of wear”.
- VG++ Record surface is clean; plays with almost no surface noise. Record cover is clean and without marks or scuffs.
- Very Good + (VG+) “Shows signs that it was played, but otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it … may have slight scuffs or scratches that don’t affect one’s listening experience”.
- Very Good (VG) “Surface noise will be evident … but will not overpower the music.”
- Good Plus (G+) More noticeable surface noise and audible clicks
- Good (G) Significant surface noise, but plays thru without skipping.
- Fair (F) Only used to grade covers – has badly split seams, mold or water damage.
- Poor (P) Is there a record so rare that it could be sold in this condition?
*RANT: I think that too many records are graded as NM. NM should be reserved for records that the seller knows were bought as New, that have been stored and handled carefully, and that the seller knows were played only a few times.
Records: I can’t imagine using either the M or P grades for the records I am selling. Most of my records are in the VG+ grade. I grade conservatively. All records are graded visually, and most have been graded through playing them.
About Shipping
I ship single records in a MoFi inner record sleeve, out of jacket (to minimize seam splits) in the usual LP mailers. Boxed sets are shipped with records inside.

Payment for records follows the usual Paypal procedures. Payment is due within 10 days of auction close. Multiple items can be shipped together to reduce shipping expense- please check my other auctions.
