Description

Mozart Marriage of Figaro UK Decca SXL 2087/90 1st ED

 

Cesare Siepi, Lisa della Casa, Hilde Gueden Fernando Corena and others with the Vienna Philharmonic conducted by Erich Kleiber perform Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro”. A four record set, this is an English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2087/90) dating from 1959. The labels are black with silver lettering with a full frequency stereophonic sound fatband and logo, Original Recording by… at 10 o’clock, and a groove.  The records have some superficial marking at the starts of sides one and two which do not sound and the records are otherwise of excellent appearance, and play and sound superb with a minimum of surface noise. The plastic cover is in excellent condition as is the libretto and ffss outer bags.
