Mozart Piano Sonatas KV 511 533 545 Uchida Philips 412 122-1
Mitsuko Uchida plays the Mozart “Piano Sonatas” KV 511, 533/494 and 545 in this highly regarded performance. A Dutch stereo pressing on the Philips Label (412 122-1), the record has a slight warp that causes some minor vertical movement which does seem to affect the sound quality. Otherwise the record is of immaculate appearance and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover has minor wear only.
This record is one of a collection of records that had never been played. Some are sealed*, some have a store seal** and the rest are in mint condition.
* very few records outside the U.S. were ever shrink wrapped and it was only toward the end of the LP Era that this became common.
**Some record stores in Australia before being placed on their racks would attach a seal, either to the opening of the cover, or over the inner bag.
