Mozart Violin Violin Concertos 4 & 5 Mischa Elman Aust Decca LXTA 5078
This extremely rare record features Mischa Elman with the New Symphony Orchestra of London conducted by Josef Krips performing Mozart’s “Violin Concertos No’s 4 & 5”. An Australian mono pressing on the Decca Label (LXTA 5078 Stampers 1A/1A), the labels are orange with gold lettering and this is a “pancake” pressing. The record has some surface marks and a couple of pressing pits that thump softly for about 4 revolutions – otherwise it is of very good appearance and plays and sounds very well with low-level surface noise and some clicks. The cover has rubbed with a ring and creases.
