Description

Here for auction: Mr Fox "The Gypsy": "Transatlantic" UK first issue. A-2U/B-2U matrix.

I have checked parts of both sides of the disc for sound quality on a Thorens TD160 with Shure M75 cartridge, Roksan Kandy RA mk III amp and B & W DM 603 floorstander's. I hope this gives a fair representation of the disc's quality in the description below.

Vinyl is in VG+ condition.Clean overall but it has some damage on first track side two "Aunt Lucy" which gives a bit of a "swish" sound for the first minute and a half. I have been told by someone who knows, that this problem was caused by the custom made plastic inner which had a foam that commonly damaged the very vinyl it was meant to protect!

Otherwise the rest of the disc play's graded EX and the sound quality is nice with clear, undistorted reproduction.There is only really minimal crackle noticeable at times, in some softer parts.

Cover is VG+ condition. Has a bit of scuffing to it's edges and spine and the offending plastic inner has come unstuck! Overall still not too bad and it's clean and not grubby.

Label's EX+ Have minimal spindle marks and are free of any other marks or blemishes.
