Description
CONDITION: Used - Very Good
Very rare copy of the December 1954 Columbia Records 7 inch, 45 rpm vinyl release of Mr Sandman by The Chordettes, SCM 5158 (backed with I Don't Wanna See You Cryin').
The Matrix / Runouts are as follows:
A-side: 7XCA 1213-1N
B-side: 7XCA 1212-1N
The record is provided in a generic sleeve. It was my father's, and comes from a smoke-free environment.
To help ensure buyers can bid with confidence, each record is played twice through on a Technics SL-J110R turntable, via a Technics SA-AX540 amplifier, and listened to through Sennheiser headphones. Based on the results, and using the Discogs grading system, the condition of this record appears to be Very Good. As is to be expected with a record of this age, some surface noise is present at times during playback; but there are no skips or jumps. Visually, there appears to be some wear to the grooves, with light scratching in places, but nothing sufficient to affect the overall sound. The centre label shows minor signs of rubbing / light scratches. Please study the photos (all images are of the actual item for sale), as these form part of the description. I am not an expert grader, for example employed by a record shop, but have been as accurate as I can in applying the Discogs system.
