To give the best  "map" for this sale, we'll have 27 leading off to give somewhat of a highlight of each area of items, then onto 1) Gospel, to 2) AOR Gospel, 3) Secular AOR, into 4) the biggest part Modern Soul / Boogie / Electro / New Jack Swing / Street Soul / Indie R&B, within each of the four sections, it will tend to be chronological, earliest year listed first, with some exceptions (including multiples by same artist), meaning listed newest will be the tail end, ending earliest is the beginning (if you filter by "ending soonest", you'll get the layout!), we hope this might help :)

Media Grade:  EX (the faintest of paper sleeve scuff under bright light DNAP, very conservative grading, ultra high-gloss, lo-fi pressing by nature, peep the soundclips!)
Sleeve Grade:  EX (still in shrink, faint discoloration at edges of opening, conservative grade, see photos!)
Year / Label / Catalogue #:   1979  /  Carrie Records  / C# 1983 L.P. (1st press, stereo, year of release is etched in deadwax 1979, on B-Side, 1978 is crossed out with the 8 being over etched by a 9) 
Brief Comments: Completely unknown release on James Hendrix Detroit*, Michigan label "Carrie Records", there are quite a few funk 45's, Northern Soul 45 releases of high value on this indie label, the largest part of the catalogue is Gospel 45's, and than lp's, similar to Hoyt Sullivan in many ways, kind of a "HSE" of the Midwest, but smaller, raw indie lo-fi Gospel, this one is an undocumented release by Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio (having been born in the Dayton Metro area, I have been by it!), the year of release is etched in deadwax (1979), also matches the catalogue of years of known releases on the label. Very lo-fi recording, was actually recorded in the Sanctuary of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, likely due to acoustics, probably 2-track recorder (maybe 4-track at most), only a couple microphones, but it's one of those lo-fi recordings that is actually more dynamic, personal in a way for it...... Led by Reverand David McFarland under the direction of Joe Banks Jr. (who also sings!), Verdia Miller on Sax, Leon Wilkinson on Organ, and Rebecca Brown on Piano (all Church members) laying down the instrumentation, (I believe Joe Banks doubles on percussion, as well as directing, playing the drums), 
In many ways James Hendrix operated the Carrie Records Gospel releases like a custom label, that probably had slight regional, specialized distribution, it wasn't 100% acceptance, but most Church Groups, especially on a budget for recording equipment, without the slightly more connected members to get them on bigger Gospel Label, what Hendrix would do, and I don't mean this in a "bad way", is similar to a tax scam, but perhaps in this case "maximizing IRS code" would be better, so say a Church like Mt. Olive Baptist in Dayton (and again, I don't say this in any disrespectful way, this Community of Faith is still going strong there, but let me tell you, they are off I-75 on West Pontiac Ave, off S. Stewart St. near S. Paul Laurence Dunbar Street, where the railroad tracks cut through, we are talking the Hood, and for Dayton that's saying a lot.....they didn't have the money! But they had the faith, they had and have beautiful, bright, talented, gifted, loving folks with the determination to make this album happen), would have a Parishioner, or even the Reverand talk a local recording studio into lending a portable 2-track, maybe 4-track recorder, and go to the main area of worship (the Sanctuary), go to the side where the choir bar is located, and let the tapes role. Then they'd send them NOT to Detroit, but to James Hendrix P.O. Box in Nashville, which is barely a stones throw from Tax Scam Record capital "Hendersonville, Tennessee", Hendrix wouldn't charge the Church more then production cost, who could write-off the "cost" of production (Churches being Tax Exempt), and Hendrix depending on how he played it, could fill in the blanks at a wide range of figures on the IRS Form, as a "loss", now in all fairness, Hendrix was providing the ability for the incredibly materially deprived African-American Churches (you can't call a people so rich in spirit poor!), to be able to record an album, not every Black Church in America had access to HSE, ABC Peacock, Savoy, Gospel Truth, etc. or even custom labels like Mark Records, Custom Fidelity, RPC, which still would cost more than Hendrix, God knows the rules of America used him and all those brothers and sisters, why not use the rules for a good cause, and sure to put some $ in the pocket (Not like Hendrix was Berry Gordy! He was trying to get by, with a family!).
These are as a result some of the rarest releases, it's unlikely Hendrix would have put this in any store he had regional weight with from the 45's, we know that one or two bigger Detroit releases (relatively) earlier in the 70's would have made it to some shops in the Mid West, but likely this went to members, maybe sold at an event, like if they had a regional Gospel Singing show in Dayton, they'd be one of many selling at the show. 
I don't have another copy, neither does anyone I was able to reach out to at Mt. Olive, I will say it was a pleasure just talking Dayton with them, one still remembers when Bootsy Collins was just starting out with his brother, and Bootsy lives in Dayton, he teaches electric bass to people with a real passion.....
Anyhow, I also want to shout out our soloist singers on here, give it up for Denise Owens, Alice Kirksey, Dianna Young, Nina Cooper (who got an acting role in a film a little bit back!), James Smith, and Elmyra Yerby, some of these beautiful gifted souls, voices, had parents, even Grandparents, who sang when the Church was just walls, a dirt floor in a patch of grass in between Industrial Factories, by the railroad, but they still came as a community, with indomitable spirits, surrounded in a desire for love, community, to share their faith, hopes, aspirations, to acknowledge the wounded, the suffering, and this was a community that knew suffering (there are many African-American Churches in Dayton, it's not at all different from the whites, it ranges from "upper class", "middle class", "lower class", this was an especially financially deprived community). They knew that song together, lifts every voice, and sings. That Church long long ago, way before this record, by WWII era got a proper foundation, flooring, building structure, even a stained glass window, it took everybody, pennies at a time, and today it stands, a thriving community of worshippers, give it up for the spiritual soul of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, in Dayton Ohio, Glory Hallelujah indeed!

*Tariffs aren't going to impact used vinyl records / music media, we wish they were never in place at all, so for international buyers, don't worry on that account!
For our record grading, we stand by the merits outlined in the scale below, anything VG or below will have a detailed explanation in brackets next to the grade.
For sleeves, we will mention anytime there is split, or defect not visible in the photos in brackets next to the grade, otherwise we refer to the photos for the merit of the grade. Of course any questions, concerns, are always welcome :) 
Our media grading scale is as follows: [*Quick note, our VPI is still in storage on the other side of the US, we do brush clean many  items carefully, but we have to prioritize, we won't leave anyone stranded with a filthy record, only "filthy" good! We don't factor dust particles into the grading]
NM = Essentially a pristine album, like new, rarely used.
EX = Under bright light if there is any scuffs or mark, which will be inaudible, most collectors and sellers would tend to consider it closer to NM, EX is also the grade others might call VG++ under the same level of conservative scrutiny.
VG+ = More then a small handful of scuffs, light marks, nothing feelable, will have high-gloss, a thoroughly enjoyable copy that may only have tiny moments of barely perceptible surface noise overpowered by the music. Our VG+ will satisfy the vast majority of collectors as a nice keeper copy, as collector's ourselves for nearly two decades, this grade is aimed to be a great keeper. Note if say the record has a light DNAP warp, but otherwise is NM, we will automatically put it to VG+ and detail that. Another scenario is if a copy plays at a solid EX, but visually is VG, the composite grade will be VG+, and detailed as such.
VG = More hairlines, more marks, maybe a few visible scratches, no more then two feelable scratches (which automatically lowers to VG-), there likely will be surface noise, but will play through, still being an enjoyable copy, the audio quality will satisfy most collector's (the golden rule: if it doesn't satisfy us, it won't be VG), if a record is otherwise EX, but has a slight momentary skip, where 99% of the record is EX, we will note that, and put it at VG. Usually will retain a nice gloss.
VG- = More Scratches than VG, surface noise will jump out more, it be overpowered for longer stretches, or compete with the music in places, it will likely play all the way through on most turntables, a copy that you can still get a decent play enjoyment from.
G+ = Lots of scratches, deeper ones, surface noise now mostly overpowers or competes with the music. It may skip in some places. We don't tend to sell G+ copies, unless the rarity is so great, and that will be precisely detailed.
Thrashed = Pretty much a "Theoretical Grade" for us, it be for all intents & purposes virtually unplayable, it would be for display purposes, or perhaps if you needed the cover but not the record. It's "theoretical" because so far we haven't sold or identified anything intended to sell at this bottom level.

We have it set to 5 day shipping / handling time, as a just in case, typically about 98.7% of our orders are shipped out the day of payment (first day the post office is open), with the vast majority being the second day. We'll message on the extraordinary off-chance if doesn't go out on Tuesday (our auctions mostly ending on Saturdays, Sundays), with the reason and day it will go out, so far that's only happened once on a giant order, and all was well.
